Welcome to the weekly FoxBonus briefing on UK gambling. Here are the main stories from recent weeks.
Three Grosvenor operators to pay £5m
On 7 October the Gambling Commission announced that three Rank Group casino operators (Grosvenor Casinos Limited, Grosvenor Casinos (GC) Limited and Gaming Group Limited, together running 51 casinos) will pay £5,012,261 in lieu of a penalty after anti-money laundering and social responsibility failings. They must also undergo a third-party audit. Source: iGaming Times

L & L Europe pays £900,000 over withdrawal delays
Announced on 21 October, the settlement covers breaches between October 2024 and October 2025: a terms clause allowing only “one withdrawal at any time” found unfair, manual reviews that delayed payouts, AML controls based on thresholds rather than risk, and safer-gambling alerts not active on all of its sites. Cheating sentences over election-date bets
The Commission also reported on 23 October that three people were sentenced for cheating offences linked to bets placed on the date of the 2024 General Election, and on 5 October that two men received suspended sentences for running illegal poker games in Cardiff. Source: Gambling Commission
